What’s Happening at the Château 2
and lets chat about how Mark is doing
Dear, dear readers. We are in the midst of the holidays and destructive renovation at the Château, with shouts rebounding off of the castle walls with questions. Can we put a Christmas tree in the salon when the Electricians are still working in there? How many people for Christmas dinner? how are we going to heat the room? And a lot of questions piling up on my workspace about construction methods, placements of bathroom fixtures, amounts of tile, and endless details either procured and hidden away, or still needing to be sourced. It is strange and a conundrum to think that I am about to place my first order for paint considering the ruinous state of our surroundings. But nonetheless, paint for the salon is on my list to order, soft and muted greens, with a touch of off white, and an unexpected gold for the ceiling.
Chers, chers lecteurs. Nous sommes en pleine période de vacances et de rénovation destructrice au Château, avec des cris qui rebondissent sur les murs du château avec des questions. Pouvons-nous mettre un sapin de Noël dans le salon alors que les électriciens y travaillent encore ? Combien de personnes pour le dîner de Noël ? Comment allons-nous chauffer la pièce ? Et beaucoup de questions s'empilent sur mon espace de travail concernant les méthodes de construction, l'emplacement des appareils sanitaires, les quantités de carrelage, et une infinité de détails soit obtenus et cachés, soit encore à trouver. Il est étrange et paradoxal de penser que je suis sur le point de passer ma première commande de peinture, compte tenu de l'état de ruine de notre environnement. Néanmoins, la peinture pour le salon est sur ma liste de commande, des verts doux et feutrés, avec une touche de blanc cassé et un or inattendu pour le plafond.
We have so may things going on at the Château. So many that we have put out a second installment video in the What’s Happening at the Château series, and of course we dubbed it “2”. This new video also has a segment in which we convinced Mark to go back in front of the camera and discuss the current status of his legs, and how the future is looking.
